I've recently started seeing this
$ fc-match -s emoji

DejaVuSans.ttf: "DejaVu Sans" "Book"
DejaVuSans-Oblique.ttf: "DejaVu Sans" "Oblique"

Did you do this as root or with sudo?

Thanks, but that has still the cached old data I guess, since it shows the Noto
don't.
You probably need to call fc-cache -f -s first (of I remember the command line
options correctly).
It shouldn't show the Noto color emoji font.

Ok, here the output without the file *55-emoji-prepend.conf*
hector:~$ fc-match --verbose emoji
> Pattern has 42 elts (size 48)
>family: "Noto Color Emoji"(s)
>familylang: "en"(s)
>style: "Regular"(s)

Hi Hector,
Good to hear that it worked, but it would be still interested to see the output
of the fc-match command before adding the new config file. Maybe the font is
requesting too high a priority.
Thanks

It works!
$ sudo nano /etc/fonts/conf.avail/55-emoji-prepend.conf
*ibus-ui-emojier-plasma*
Noto Color Emoji
After enable presets:
$ cd /etc/fonts/conf.d
$ ln -s ../conf.avail/55-emoji-prepend.conf
$ sudo reboot
Thank You!!

Hi Héctor,
I suggest closing this bug, since it is a configuration issue:

Package: fonts-noto-color-emoji
Version: 0~20200916-1
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
When I press the combination keys "Meta + ." (Plasma 5.19.5.x) the emoji
selector is launched and these are shown in black and white and many of them
are not displayed correctly. I have installed the package:
