It was backported to 5.10 in commit bd63bd78d303fa1ddd9fb4a2e04f0018003c256c
and that was included in 5.10.27 upstream and 5.10.28-1 in Debian.
So also marking it as fixed with that version.

Bug#983794: Can't connect to newer cisco APs

2021-03-01 Thread Yuri D'Elia
Package: src:linux
Version: 5.10.13-1
Severity: wishlist

Recently our department upgraded some wireless Cisco equipment and as a result
I'm no longer able to connect to the wifi network.

The relevant part from the kernel shown during association is:

RX AssocResp from 4c:a6:4d:54:09:4c (capab=0x1101 status=0 aid=2)
HE AP is missing HE capability/operation

Searching on LKML I've found already a fix for this issue released a few
days ago:

https://patchwork.kernel.org/project/linux-wireless/patch/20210223051926.2653301-1-yenlin...@chromium.org/

I wonder if it would be possible to backport this patch on the current
kernel.

Thanks!
