Bug#986861: pragha: No way of sorting album by track number

When starting Sway and Pragha with the default settings, the columns selection pop up does indeed show up. It must then be a configuration issue, perhaps some GTK settings rather than an issue with Pragha. I'm have no idea which setting, but it's strange that it appears to only be affecting Pragha. Bug#986861: pragha: No way of sorting album by track number
Hello again, Pelle, I just tested it under sway and the column selection pop up showed up normally. Perhaps I'm using Sway the wrong way? I simply installed it with apt install sway; logged in from lightdm, learned how to open a terminal, and launched pragha from it. Then, when I right click on the headers row, the column list pops up and the following message is written to the controlling terminal: Gdk-Message: 19:35:07.947: Window 0x55e815cb2070 is a temporary window without parent, application will not be able to position it on screen. (pragha:210292): Gdk-CRITICAL **: 19:35:07.949: gdk_wayland_window_handle_configure_popup: assertion 'impl->transient_for' failed Do you get any similar messages? Perhaps your messages are different and might help us deciding whether the bug is in pragha or in sway. Cheers, Gabriel

I'm not sure, yet. I need to test it in Sway (and in Weston for that matter), before I can come to any conclusions. I'll test once I learn how to use Sway. :) For now, I think we should keep this bug open and assigned to Pragha. Cheers, Gabriel

To bring more columns into view, you can right click on any column header, which will pop the list of available columns up, then select the 'Track' item. Afterwards you will be able to sort by track, then sort by album; then the songs within the album will also be sorted by track number. Let me know if that doens't work for you. Cheers, Gabriel

Package: pragha Version: 1.3.4-2+b1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, It appears there is no way to sort an album (or several albums in a playlist) by track order. The available column headers for sorting are 'Title', 'Artist', 'Album' and 'Length'. When clicking on 'Album' to sort the tracks into albums, the track order within those albums will be either alphabetical by title or by length, depending on what sort mode was previously selected. I expected it would be possible to sort the playlist by track order within their respective albums so they could be played in the order the appear on the album(s). -- System Information: Debian Release: 11.0 APT prefers unstable-debug APT policy: (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-5-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU threads) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_CRAP Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages pragha depends on: ii libc6 2.31-11 ii libcairo2 1.16.0-5 ii libcddb21.3.2-6+b1 ii libcdio-cdda2 10.2+2.0.0-1+b2 ii libcdio19 2.1.0-2 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.40.2-2 ii libglib2.0-02.66.8-1 ii libglyr11.0.10-1 ii libgstreamer-plugins-base1.0-0 1.18.3-1 ii libgstreamer1.0-0 1.18.3-2 ii libgtk-3-0 3.24.24-3 ii libgudev-1.0-0 234-1 ii libkeybinder-3.0-0 0.3.2-1.1 ii libmtp9 1.1.17-3 ii libnotify4 0.7.9-3 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.46.2-3 ii libpeas-1.0-0 1.28.0-2+b1 ii libsoup2.4-12.72.0-2 ii libsqlite3-03.34.1-3 ii libtagc01.11.1+dfsg.1-3 ii libtotem-plparser18 3.26.5-5 Versions of packages pragha recommends: ii gstreamer1.0-plugins-good 1.18.3-1 ii gstreamer1.0-pulseaudio1.18.3-1 pragha suggests no packages.
