Could you consider moving a few of checksecurity's Recommends to Suggests? These packages aren't included in Ubuntu's main archive so we've been moving them to Suggests, but if you would be willing to take this change into Debian it would enable us to autosync your package directly from now on. Specifically, this would be the change: -Recommends: tiger, logcheck, tripwire | integrit | aide | samhain | fcheck, debsecan -Suggests: apt-watch | cron-apt, lockfile-progs +Recommends: logcheck +Suggests: apt-watch | cron-apt, lockfile-progs, tiger, tripwire | integrit | aide | samhain | fcheck, debsecan We also have dropped fcron as a dependency since fcron is no longer in the archive, but I see there is a separate bug report about this: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=798235
