Package: xdg-utils Version: 1.1.3-4.1 Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: alx.manpa...@gmail.com
Dear Maintainer, * What led up to the situation? Discussing about adding a feature to groff, to add 'clickable' links (see <https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/groff/2021-10/msg00000.html>), and reading uri(7), which states that <man:less> and <man:less(1)> are valid URIs, and that any tool accepting URIs should be able to handle them. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? I tried to run `open man:less` and `open 'man:less(1)'`, but both failed. * What was the outcome of this action? A pop-up window with the following lines: Failed to open URI. The specified location is not supported. man:less * What outcome did you expect instead? Since (almost?) every system has man(1) installed, I'd expect xdg-open to be able to handle these URIs by calling man(1).
