Hi, I am interested in the creation of this list. The Debian Math Team is being created now; https://salsa.debian.org/math-team was created last week, it currently has 11 members. The need for this group (and list) has been discussed in the thread starting at https://lists.debian.org/msgid-search/87wnlvn3fg....@piedmont.edu ; people expressed interest there.
