liblua5.3-0 (and according to https://packages.debian.org/sid/geeqie it
claims to do just that on all architectures except m68k, sh4 and x32).
I just tested on unstable, removed liblua5.1-0 and liblua5.1-0-dev, and
started geeqie - which worked just fine, with only Lua 5.3 installed.

It's not fixed upstream in allegro4 - it is in allegro5, but not in
allegro4.
, so you will get a new(er)
claws-mail package soon enough which supports the gmail OAUTH2
business. (I am running a backported version of claws for some time -
for me it works just fine).

Thanks for your report - this has been fixed in the upstream git
repository [1] but hasn't been available in an upstream release yet -
If a new upstream release takes too long I will cherry-pick the fix and
make a new Debian release.
