Bug#1072577: Warning: program compiled against libxml 212 using older 209
Warning: program compiled against libxml 212 using older 209 I see this message in the terminal when I run emacs from the terminal. Specifically, I see it when entering shell-script mode and inserting and deleting lines while in shell script mode. I also have FlyC enabled, using shellcheck. (But neither running shellcheck directly from the command line not emacs fundamental mode produce it.) root@cdtest:~# pre emacs shellcheck libxml emacsen-common 3.0.5 all emacs-bin-common1:29.4+1-3 amd64 emacs-common1:29.4+1-3 all emacs-el1:29.4+1-3 all emacs-lucid 1:29.4+1-3 amd64 libxml2 2.12.7+dfsg+really2.9.14-0.1amd64 shellcheck 0.10.0-1amd64 root@cdtest:~# uname -a Linux cdtest 6.11.5-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Debian 6.11.5-1 (2024-10-27) x86_64 GNU/Linux root@cdtest:~# cat /etc/debian_version trixie/sid root@cdtest:~# The name and version number of the libxml package leads me to wonder if that's where the problem lies. https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1073508 -- Does anybody read signatures any more? https://charlescurley.com https://charlescurley.com/blog/
