So I guess identifying the problem and fixing the Debian 12 kernel 
isn't

relevant for you any more, right? If so I suggest closing the bug.

I would have asked you if a cold boot always fixes the problem. But

the relevance of this bug dropped, this doesn't matter any more.

Hi Salvatore,

at the moment of reporting this issue I had I already lost the mic hot 
key also, so I took advantage of this second inconvenience to upgrade 
to Debian 13. Both, the hot key and the audio, back to work after 
upgrade.



Anyway, when the audio issue appeared i done two things:

- back to intel-microcode and kernel previous version + reboot ( 
randomly worked )

- back only to previous kernel version  + reboot ( randomly worked )
- back only to previous intel-microcode version + reboot (randomly 
worked )



It seemed like some other adjustment had altered, but not in those 2

I've double checked the issue:


- linux-image-6.1.0-32-amd64 (6.1.129-1)
Event and mic button working ok.
Not sure if this was solved when re installing this version (for these 
tests).



- linux-image-6.1.0-34-amd64 (6.1.135-1)
Event and mic button not working.
Current stable version.


- linux-image-6.1.0-35-amd64 (6.1.137-1)
Event and mic button not working.
Current apt PU version.

P.S.- The brightness buttons also do not respond to an event, but still 
work correctly.

Given you experience this as regreession, can you bisect the changes
between 6.1.128 upstream and 6.1.129 to identify which commit breaks?
