In default configuration we let any user use the server to grab files from Ubuntu and this doesn't look right to me since it was installed from Debian and I hope only allow the users grab directly from Debian (by default). -- O T A V I OS A L V A D O R - E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] UIN: 5906116 GNU/Linux User: 239058 GPG ID: 49A5F855 Home Page: http://www.freedom.ind.br/otavio - Microsoft gives you Windows ... The advantage of enabling it is that ch people with an ubuntu machine on their network can use it without having to ch mess with their apt-proxy. We allow access by default to dynamic backends ch anyway. Oh, I forgot about the dynamic backends be enabled by default. That's true. I think we have two options here: - Disable the dynamic backends by default (this isn't a choice IMHO) - Leave this as is What all think about it? -- O T A V I OS A L V A D O R - E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] UIN: 5906116 GNU/Linux User: 239058 GPG ID: 49A5F855 Home Page: http://www.freedom.ind.br/otavio - Microsoft gives you Windows ... After sucessfully arguing that the backend should stay, I wonder about #302503: apt-proxy is using lots of memory for each enabled backend. Maybe we should disable the backend at least until we have fixed the memory problem. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
