Hi,
after fully recovering from the update-rc.d breakage, I also still have
trouble booting with sysvinit version 2.86.ds1-18. Downgrading to
2.86.ds1-15 solves the problem.
Upon trying to boot an LVM on root system, with a custom kernel and an
initrd image residing on a small boot partition, I receive an fsck
error message as follows below. I have attached dumps acquired from the
rescue shell of /proc/mdstat, /proc/mounts, my fstab as well as the
output of fdisk, lvdisplay, vgdisplay and mount in order to provide
some detail on my system.
I hope this will help resolve the issue in some way.
