Bug#424004: Sony brightness

There turns out to be a module named sonypi in Debian, which is supposed
to be an older sony ACPI support module. Does it work if you load that
 module first?

That creates /dev/sonypi and the description says:

description:Sony Programmable I/O Control Device driver

it has nothing to do with ACPI.

No, loading this module does not create /proc/acpi/sony .

Hmmm, that's a shame. I'll have a look into where the sony_acpi module
 comes from then.
