Bug#590445: vlc: White noise when playing 11025Hz WAV file

Package: vlc Version: 1.1.0-4 Severity: normal Hi, when playing a 11025Hz 16bit standard WAV file with VLC, the first 3s play fine, but it turns to loud white noise after that. Please note that VLC usually works fine on my system. This file plays fine in other applications such as Rezound.
