Package: snmpd Version: 5.7.3+dfsg-1.7 Followup-For: Bug #771906 Dear Maintainer, by trying to disable log for snmpd, we first modified /etc/default/snmpd line 15 that contains SNMPDOPTS. This did not modified the service behavior after : service snmpd stop service snmpd start
Then we checked that /etc/default/snmpd was used by /etc/init.d/snmpd. Seemed it was good. Finaly, we found that /lib/systemd/system/snmpd.service contains the following line : ExecStart=/usr/sbin/snmpd -Lsd -Lf /dev/null -u Debian-snmp -g Debian-snm p -I -smux,mteTrigger,mteTriggerConf -f This line does not use the configuration from /etc/default and this is no use to modify the file in /etc/default.
