Just to be sure I made no mistake here, I tested in dolphin with a ogg,
ogv, webm and mp3 file, and sure enough, dragonplayer do not show in the
GUI as an alternative for playing these files.
The lacking mime types in the dragonplayer desktop file is a usability
problem for anyone trying to use

and thought you might be interested to know that dragonplayer is the
video player in Debian unstable claiming to support fewest MIME types
in its .desktop file. It list 17 types, while totem list 152.

I noticed dragonplayer do not list the same set of MIME types as
smplayer in its desktop file. The missing MIME types causes the
graphical file manager in the various desktops to not suggest
dragonplayer to play various audio and video formats when
