OK, thanks for confirming that. I'll have a look shortly now that I
have a little more time, and I'll see what I can find...

Please do. I'm at DebConf and struggling to even keep up with email at
the moment... :-)

Have you tried installing from DVD 9.1.0. and after the installation and
standard reboot just abruptly shut down the computer? When the computer loses
power suddenly (when there is a blackout for example), the computer won't start
again. If you cannot do that or do not have time I will format everything once
again as soon as I have some time and send you the errors.

I've tested crypto installs from live using 9.1.0, and all worked fine
for me. If you could retry with that and let me know, that would be
very helpful. And if you *do* find errors, it would be helpful to see
the details.

Hello Steve,

Unfortunately I formatted every system that had cryptography, can you check
with a fresh installation on a machine of yours or do you need me to format
again with encryption and write all the errors?

Hi Marco,

You say "a lot of errors will appear". Can you give some more details
of those errors, please? It's difficult to work out what's happening
otherwise...

2017-07-27 Thread Marco Pellegrini
Package: installation-reports
Severity: important

After a fresh install of Debian Stretch 9.0.1 with any kind of cryptography
applied to the hard drive, if the computer suddenly shuts down, then it will
not boot up again, a lot of errors will appear when booting up and it will be
impossible to access the system again. Logging in the terminal is impossible as
well. This happens to every machine I tried installing Stretch with
cryptography.
