Okay, I have just done some more online research and I have found this bug
relating to libcdio:

I don't know enough to make a guess as to whether this exists as the same
double-free bug,
but if so, then the problem
I think I have the same problem. It doesn't occur on all CDs for me, only a
handful. The lines in
/var/log/messages look almost identical though except instead of coming from
the process gvfsd, it
comes from the process org.gtk.vfs.Daemon, and I have a second call to
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/l
