Hi Sandro,

I'm still interested in taking on this role, are you still looking for
someone to do this?

Thanks,
David

Bug#888077: RFA: diamond – smart data producer for Graphite graphing package

2018-03-21 Thread David Stapleton
Hi Sandro,

I've been using diamond internally for a while now and have a good
understanding of how it hangs together. I've also been making contributions
to the code on the Github project.

Also, as far as I can see, a Subversion source repository is being used,
but I believe this will have to be converted to git very soon as Alioth is
being deprecated (based on details at
https://wiki.debian.org/Alioth#Deprecation_of_Alioth). This is something
that I'm interested in doing.

So in summary, I'd be happy to adopt this package.

I should also mention that bl...@debian.org is willing to sponsor the
uploads.

If there are any further details you need from me, let me know.

Thanks,
David

Bug#888077: RFA: diamond -- smart data producer for Graphite graphing package

2018-01-22 Thread Sandro Tosi
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I request an adopter for the diamond package.

The package description is:
Diamond is a python daemon that collects system metrics and publishes them to
Graphite (and others). It is capable of collecting cpu, memory, network, i/o,
load and disk metrics. Additionally, it features an API for implementing custom
collectors for gathering metrics from almost any source.
 .
This package contains the daemon and its configuration and accessories.
