Just tried again with more up-to-date packages, but unfortunately no dice--the bug persists. I did notice that the bug does not seem to affect Wayland sessions -- though those aren't viable for me yet because of another bug [1]. Thanks for your maintainership of gnome in Debian! Andreas [1]
