This comes from dhmk, which was used at least for KDE4 packages (we still have
some of them in the archive). I have just asked Maxy if is still used for
Plasma, but I think it is not.

The code was done by Modestas Vainius, who is not around anymore, and I'm not
really sure if something will break without that. But on the other hand a few
hours ago I reported a serious bug against src:qt4-x11 so as it does not gets
released with bullseye, so...

Hi pkg-kde-tools maintainers,

Do you have an update on this bug? AFAICT, pkg-kde-tools is now the
last package referencing dh_gconf. I would prefer that it was fixed
before I upload a version of debhelper without dh_gconf.

Thanks,
~Niels

Hi,

Per Jeremy Bicha request, we are expecting to remove dh_gconf during
the Bullseye release cycle. Unfortunately, pkg-kde-tools appears to
depend on this tool via its commands files:

"""
[...]
dh_installxfonts
dh_bugfiles
dh_lintian
dh_gconf
dh_icons
dh_perl
dh_usrlocal
[...]
"""

https://sources.debian.org/src/pkg-kde-tools/0.15.29/qt-kde-team/2/commands/?hl=61#L61
https://sources.debian.org/src/pkg-kde-tools/0.15.29/qt-kde-team/3/commands/?hl=61#L61

Please remove this unconditional reference for Bullseye.

Thanks,
~Niels
