...so, it looks like verilog-mode won't be in bullseye, which is a shame. I also wonder if Verilog's importance is going to increase due to: https://beaglev.seeed.cc/ (RISC-V with NVDLA Engine) which appears to support Verilog as well as the (usual?) SystemC. http://nvdla.org/primer.html http://nvdla.org/hw/v1/integration_guide.html Given that no one was/is interested in supporting a non-elpafied verilog-mode, and Kiwamu Okabe won't have a XEmacs-supported verilog-mode for bullseye, I would like to strongly recommend that the team reevaluates the existing position. Would you please add a note somewhere in verilog-mode/debian/? I'm guessing Kiwamu knew people who exclusively used xemacs so it seems to be a "what users want/need" kind of thing. Source: verilog-mode Version: 20161124.fd230e6-2 Severity: serious Currently verilog-mode build-depends on emacs25 which doesn't exist in testing. This makes verilog-mode unbuildable. Please build-depend on emacs-gtk instead.
