It would be helpful for users of Debian if there was a Debian package for
CACKey.
CACKey is an open source PKCS#11 module for smartcards issued by the US
Government. Its source code can be downloaded from:
https://cackey.rkeene.org/fossil/wiki?name=Downloads
It has infrequent releases so should require little maintenance over time.
I am the primary author of CACKey and am responsive to any feedback from
the Debian team.
I have helped many users install CACKey on Debian and Debian-based
distributions and I think it would benefit everyone if CACKey were
included in the default Debian repositories.
