Hello,

This behavior seems to me to be the proper one given that Debian
Policy requires the removal of conffiles when a package is purged
(ยง6.8.5).  The dpkg(1) manpage also seems to indicate that this
behavior is correct: "The package is selected to be purged (i.e. we
want to remove  everything from system directories, even configuration
files)."

I could, however, see it being useful to give the user an additional
warning when removing certificates that are still valid. " 'm not sure
when I'll be able to tackle this, but I'll change the ticket over to a
wishlist item to reflect that so I hopefully don't forget.
