Bug#944412: [debian-mysql] Bug#944412: mariadb-server: Installation of mariadb-server metapackage fails due to unmet dependencies
Hi Mark! On a fresh Buster installation, you should not have the problem. There must be something else in your setup that lead to this. If you want to understand better how to install unstable packages on a stable Debian, I suggest you to read some documentation about "apt pinning". For instance: http://jaqque.sbih.org/kplug/apt-pinning.html https://raphaelhertzog.com/2010/12/20/5-reasons-why-debian-unstable-does-not-deserve-its-name/ Anyway, as this is not a bug can you please close it? Hello Faustin, I have added an unstable entry for wireguard according to the provided wiki entry https://wiki.debian.org/Wireguard which seems to cause this problem. When commenting everything out that was added to the following files, the installation seems to work. /etc/apt/sources.list.d/unstable-wireguard.list /etc/apt/preferences.d/limit-unstable Can you tell me what I did wrong? Best regards, Mark

Hi! Thank you for your report. Unfortunately I am not able to reproduce the problem using the same repositories (ftp.de.debian.org). I see that you are using "unstable" in your apt sources.list, did you made any changes in your apt preferences that could lead to this problem?
