Looks good now.

Thanks for your time

Bug#958944: Could someone please care for a minor translation issue in libraw1394

2026-06-11 Thread Thomas Vincent

Hallo!

That was quite a journey, but I'm back with news!

More than a tricky bug actually, it's a design flaw. Once a translation
is assembled from its translated paragraphs, there's no way to update it
unless the original description changes. It may (or even, does) affect
several (many) other descriptions… I still have to thoroughly assess
that part.

For now, I have only fixed your issue with libraw. It already shows on
DDTP and the correct translation should be propagated everywhere shortly.

I let you check that the translation is indeed fixed and close this bug
report. Of course, feel free to ping me again if something is still wrong.

Thomas

So far, what I can say is that:

- I don't have any date, but judging by its translation_id in the
database, the 'libwar' typo looks pretty old
- I can reproduce the behaviour reported by Holger, i.e. it all looks
fine on DDTSS and at the same time the translation is broken on e.g.
packages.d.o

I have opened a ticket for it on ddtp's issue tracker [0].

I don't have much time to invest on it this week, so unless I find an
obvious issue/fix tonight, this will have to wait a few days.

tschüss,
Thomas

Hallo Holger, Andreas and debian-l10n-german

I'm irritated and cannot any further here.
I tried several times to fix, however that seems impossible for me.

The DDTSS gives me the package description for libraw1394-5 if I want to fetch
the one for libraw1394-11, and the description I get then does not have the
typo you claimed about.

See screenshot attached.

@Thomas (in CC): maybe you can help here?

2026-05-08 Thread Andreas Tille
Hi,

kann jemand bitte:

apt show libraw1394-11 outputs:

Description: Bibliothek zum Direktzugriff auf den IEEE-1394- (Firewire-) Bus
libwar1394 [...]

libwar1394 -> libraw1394

fixen? Ich würde es auch tun, weiß aber leider nicht, wie die Übersetzungen
gemacht werden.

Vielen Dank und Grüße von der MiniDebConf in Hamburg
Andreas.
