1. xaw3d is a fork of Xaw6.1, not a replacement for Xaw7.
2. IF scilab needed a Xaw7 API it should link Xaw7, not Xaw3d which is not

what is the status of this bug? According to the buildd log[1], the ia64
port of the latest version 1.6.8-4 built without errors.

I tried wiping everything about python on my system (all python*
packages purged, /usr/lib/python* files manually deleted). This bug
still exists. I tried installing python-numarray by hand and get a new
