Dear all,
we (Christophe Trophime and I) were trying to fix the bug.
Adding -fPIC to CFLAGS and CXXFLAGS partly fixes the problem,
but it still fails to build on linking stage with the following message:

Rewriting the software is not the task of packaging.
The RC-bug will probably remove Paraview from Wheezy [1], [2].

Can anyone, please, have a look at this license?

Can we decrease the severity of this bug to return the freecad back to testing?
The bug filed on March, but freecad was removed from testing on May
because of FTBFS's (I think).
Now FTBFS's are fixed on all platforms, but freecad cannot return back
to testing.
Anyway, this issue cannot be resolved

Paraview is really not an easy source to package.
Now the debian-directory is rewritten almost completely to make the
packaging as simple as possible. I prefer to escape "overpatching",
because it complicates a maintainance.
I am afraid, that replacing the vtk is not an easy work. It can

Hi Werner,
