Hello, I tried the bug in sid (with kile version 1:1.8.1-3.1), and etch (with kile version 1:1.7.1-3). And I could not reproduce the bug with the steps described in the report. I even tried to change file encodings to generate errors (save a latin1 file in utf-8) but it worked misteriously well.
