Subject: starting hald on boot with no ac power restarts laptop immidiately Package: hal Version: 0.5.8.1-3 Severity: grave Justification: causes non-serious data loss
*** Please type your report below this line *** while booting my laptop, when hald starts and no ac power cable is connected to the laptop, it restarts immidiately. and continuesly boots and restart in loop, until a power cable is plugged in. btw. after system is fully on in desktop mode, removing the ac power cable does not shut it down (which is ok) so maybe, it's somthing that loads after hald starts that help the system no restart ?
