I just tried a daily image on ARM and it failed because the ramdisk
cannot be generated. Apparently this is because / is not mounted in
the chroot.
The reason this only shows up on ARM is because it uses MODULES=dep
for initramfs-tools
to solve the mystery. If you
suspect busybox, then try building an image with the Lenny version
of busybox.
That's a fine suggestion but I don't have time for this at the moment
since I'm moving to another country, so a bug report will have to do
for now.

I don't quite unerstand this problem because I don't see
to the first cylinder boundary. If the boundary
is less than 4096 then nothing is changed.
If you like the fix and will accept this patch, please add this note to

in order to end up with a system that doesn't boot you have to edit
fstab manually and replace /dev/mapper/... with /dev/vg/lv.
Still, it's a bug that needs to be fixed.

this might be
because of the old kernel, so I installed 2.6.18. Unfortunately, the
machine is remote and it didn't came back up after my kernel upgrade,
so I'm waiting for someone to fix it. :)
