To fix the underlying bug however is to solve why the amd64 pbuilder
picked up the python2.4 dependency in the first place.
Perhaps an update to the pbuilder environment helps?
No, this wasn't a pbuilder problem, but a chroot on pergolesi that needed some
cleanup.

I would bet that the modules were build for 2.6.32, but between building of the
modules and you trying to use the modules the kernel package was updated yet
again. And with this update not changing version numbers but changing ABI the
modules do not work anymore.

This bug breaks update/installation/removal of quite some packages and
therefore IMO makes the package unfit for squeeze. Therefore I raise the

reading the UTF-8 hyphen (e2 80 90). To me this doesn't look like a bug in col,
but an incorrect call from lintian as man is asked to produce UTF-8 encoding
while col isn't switched to it. Apparently the C locale does not define the
encoding.

are upgrading to insserv from say lenny or
testing where a package might have changed it's defaults?
To be honest I would be satisfied if it only carries a list with lenny levels
and checks against these so that admins upgrading their stable systems do not
get into trouble.

installation and deinstallation. In my case deinstallation immediately followed
