Looks like I spoke too soon. This morning the monitor looks, well
psychedelic is the only word I think of to describe it. Yesterday
evening was fine, this morning its not. I've done nothing other than
turn the machine off/on.
So it's all still broken in the new version, though at least X

and send strace.log by mail? (Compress it if it's big, please.)

It is running now, without dying. I haven't replied because it's now being
hammered by my search engine's spider - and I want to wait and see if it
stays up during that.
