It seems to be due to a problem in /etc/hosts. Could you please tell me
if you have IPv6 enabled on this machine, and send me (possibly
privately if they contains private information) the contents of
/etc/hosts, /etc/gai.conf and /etc/hostname?
I do not have any IPv6 network devices since I

Yesterday morning, I did an apt-get update and apt-get upgrade. Then, i
noticed my Samba was not working in Windows XP Pro. SP3. Explorer said:
\\192.168.0.46 is not accessible... I tried stopping, restarting,
Samba, but it did not work. I investigated and found Samba coredumping:
# pwd
Josep, I think we both have the same problem. Mine crashes too after
updating a bunch of packages yesterday morning (update daily). I think
the crashes are causing by updated libc packages. See my details reply
earlier.
