REQUIRE that name resolution work on the machine.
Therefore, $named is the correct thing to require.

What version of the various packages do you have? Installing dnsutils
in a virgin sid chroot on amd64 gives me a working nslookup, with the
correct libraries all present, and I don't see anywhere that the
