* What led up to the situation?
I needed a way to store a local contacts information exported from a
.Vcard file. Gnome contacts application are not capable of
import/export, 'kaddressbook' package was installed via apt manager from
a default Debian repositories.
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
After installation of the kaddressbook, it did not run, errored out with
a message 'The Akonadi personal information management service is not
operational', I did a research, could not find any relevant / helpful
info on-line, attempts to run this software via GUI was not succsessful.
Purgin via apt and re-installing resulted in a same failure to star the
appliaction.
* What was the outcome of this action?
Software did not run as expected.
* What outcome did you expect instead?
For this software to run and manage my contacts.
