I've tested flightgear on my 933MHz P3M and it starts in under a minute
with no heavy disc activity. It's not really usable since it runs so
slowly, but I suspect that this machine isn't powerful enough (and the
i810 graphics not good enough) to run any sort of flight simulator at a
sensible speed. I also note that it had a RES of 233Mb, so a machine
with less than that might end up thrashing swap when starting it
(although overnight is a little excessive). I don't think being graphics/memory/CPU intensive is a bug per-se though.

I'll test it on a better machine some time soon.
