Package: dtc-xen
Severity: serious

(Package is in incoming.debian.org atm)

Hi mate

I am sorry, but I am sending an RC bug report against this package as
well. Your postinst messes up with other conffiles which do not belong
to your package. One of the most significant examples I can give you
from your postinst is the part where you edit the "/etc/sudoers" file .
This is not acceptable, sorry. Please remove such hooks from your
maintainer scripts, you can always provide a very good documentation in
the README.Debian file.

Please also note that installing additional software via maintainer
scripts is a policy violation as well. You can install additional
software by adding packages to your depends line in debian/control and
if it is not yet packaged for debian you might want to write down some
notes into your documentation to leave this choice to the users, but I
recommend to get this software into debian if it is possible.

Thanks in advance and have a nice sunday

Friendly,
Steffen
