The nvidia kernel module won't build from the source package, probably due to a feature introduced in kernel 2.6.19.
The precompiled modules for the 2.6.18 kernel work, but the kernel was replaced by 2.6.21 in testing, for which precompiled modules are not available, and building from the source packages fails. My bug report should be merged with Bugs #425127 and #430577.
