If a user upgrades his system from lenny to squeeze, he wont be able
to read *all* changed packages' news.
I think that tests must show warning and then call blkid. You have
changed the well-working program to fail-working

changed the well-working program to fail-working program and written

Just upgraded a friend's machine, and had the same problem. I also had
to change check=ext2 to check=blkid. (I was lucky as it only affected
the home partition, so I did not have to use a live system to make this
changes.)
