I've now patched Makefiel.PL to accept 1.7.1 as the minimal version.
Dominic has offered to test before we upload it.
Actually, this bug manifested on plain sid, so I don't think any extra
testing from me is needed for this bug.

Package: libogre-perl
Version: 0.40-1
Severity: serious
Justification: fails to build from source (but built successfully in the past)
This package failed to build on sid i386 today:
g++ -c -pthread -I/usr/include/OGRE -pthread -I/usr/include/gtk-2.0
-I/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/include
Dominic,
It looks like the dependencies might've changed recently...
who-uploads for both libogre-dev and libgtk2.0-dev give me nothing,
however:
libgtk2.0-dev | 2.20.1-2 | squeeze | amd64, armel,
i386, ia64, kfreebsd-amd64, kfreebsd-i386, mips, mipsel, powerpc,
s390, sparc
