--- Begin Message ---I've had some bug reports reporting that vmstat crashes under certain circumstances. Usually it gets reported when the pbuilders gag on the test scripts. The symptoms are that "vmstat -p <partition>" such as vmstat -p sda1 will make vmstat crash. I can confirm that if any partition appears before any disk then vmstat -p or vmstat -D (basically anything that uses getdiskstat() ) will crash. The code also assumes that all partitions appear immediately after the relevant disk, which may or may not be true. The problem is, I'm trying to work out when this does occur and what vmstat should do about it.
