I've had some bug reports reporting that vmstat crashes under certain
circumstances. Usually it gets reported when the pbuilders gag on the
test scripts.

The symptoms are that "vmstat -p <partition>" such as vmstat -p sda1
will make vmstat crash. I can confirm that if any partition appears
before any disk then vmstat -p or vmstat -D (basically anything that
uses getdiskstat() ) will crash. The code also assumes that all
partitions appear immediately after the relevant disk, which may or
may not be true.

The problem is, I'm trying to work out when this does occur and what
vmstat should do about it.
