Package: gtk+3.0
Version: 3.10.7-1
Severity: serious
Tags: patch

On one of the raspbian jessie autobuilders I ran into the following error with gtk+ 3.0.

warning: failed to load external entity "../../../../examples/search-bar.c"
../xml/gtkactiongroup.xml:160: parser error : Opening and ending tag mismatch: refsect1 line 147 and para
</para></para>

Followed by a load of other documentation build errors. Full log at http://buildd.raspbian.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=gtk%2B3.0&arch=armhf&ver=3.10.7-1&stamp=1393397035

Googling the error showed tha ubuntu had already run into it (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gtk+3.0/+bug/1283226 ). Testing in a debian jessie amd64 chroot revealed that it (unsurprisingly) affects Debian too.

Ubuntu fixed the issue in version 3.10.7-0ubuntu3, I grabbed the patch for this issue out of their upload, applied it to the package from Debian and uploaded to raspbian. A debdiff for what I uploaded to raspbian can be found at http://debdiffs.raspbian.org/main/g/gtk%2b3.0/gtk+3.0_3.8.2-3+rpi1.debdiff , I have no intent to NMU this in Debian.

I assume you mean
http://debdiffs.raspbian.org/main/g/gtk%2b3.0/gtk%2b3.0_3.10.7-1%2brpi1.debdiff
which looks more like something related to the issue you describe.

That patch was backported from 3.11.5, so it's no longer necessary in the
versions currently in experimental and unstable.
