Actually there is still an issue. You've bump the SOVERSION without changing the VERSION. Which is illegal AFAIK: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=754583 It is non-conventional to change the SOVERSION when the VERSION does not change.
