Package: src:ruby-github-markdown
Version: 1.3.3+dfsg-1
Severity: serious
Tags: sid stretch
Justification: Breaks rdeps when binary-rebuilt

When rebuiling ruby-github-markdown in unstable, the .gemspec is missing in
the built binaries. This causes rdeps to fail to resolve their
dependencies.

It's unclear how this package ever managed to get a .gemspec into
the binary.

Hi,

This bug has been triggered by a recent change in gem2tgz, which doesn't
generate metadata in yml format anymore. (since version 0.29)

Many packages have "source" gemspecs using git command to list the
files, which (used to) fail when building the package without git/
outside of the git repository.

This has been fixed with gem2deb 0.30 which now replaces git commands by
sane defaults (See #800933)

I am thus closing this bug.

Cheers,

Cédric
