Package: broadcom-sta-dkms
Version: 6.30.223.271-5
Severity: serious
Justification: fails to build from source

Hello,
I'm trying to upgrade from Linux 4.9 to Linux 4.14, but I can not continue
because of the network driver that fails to compile (either manually with
module-assistent or via apt / aptitude to install the header package).
There seems to be some incompatibility between the struct required by the
driver and those provided by the headers. In addition, the compiler detects
some imprudence in the code that could make maintenance difficult.

Failed compilation log: https://paste.debian.net/1018389

Until now I have always used the latest versions of the Linux kernel without
problems, because you have done a great job. This driver is essential for me
and I can not use my laptop without it, but I would like to use the latest
kernel version like everyone else.

Thanks for support,
Lorenzo
