I am unable to reproduce this hang. When I re-enable lvmetad in lvm.conf
and run update-initramfs -u, reboot succeeds (many trials). Perhaps it
is just the very intermittent failures on SSDs reported by Stefan?

to prevent redefinition. The package builds and links with GCC5 with
