I've been preparing a refresh of several qemu-related packages (incl seabios and openbios and this one), already fixed the non-reproducible build issue locally, but haven't seen the FTBFS issue. So far it weren't me who dealt with these packages. Lemme force the new version... Thank you for the reminder! /mjt

Bug#895713: FTBFS with googletest 1.8.0-7
Source: ros-catkin Version: 0.7.11-1 Severity: serious Justification: fails to build from source Debian's googletest package used to ship only sources, not a compiled libgtest. The ros-catkin package has a build-dep on libgtest-dev. However: at build time libgtest is probed for, not found, and C++ tests are not built: -- gtest not found, C++ tests can not be built. Please install the gtest headers globally in your system to enable gtests https://buildd.debian.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=ros-catkin=all=0.7.11-1=1522532229=0 In libgtest-dev 1.8.0-7, a compiled libgtest was added. Now the ros-catkin fails while attempting to build tests: -- Found gtest: gtests will be built CMake Error at cmake/test/gtest.cmake:369 (add_library): add_library cannot create imported target "gtest" because another target with the same name already exists. Call Stack (most recent call first): cmake/all.cmake:147 (include) CMakeLists.txt:8 (include) Additionally, the flaw in gtest.cmake appears to be the cause of ros-rospack build failure tracked in Bug #895708 -- contrary to what was previously written in that bug -- as the ros-rospack build fails at the same lines in the installed version of gtest.cmake: -- Found gtest: gtests will be built CMake Error at /usr/share/catkin/cmake/test/gtest.cmake:369 (add_library): add_library cannot create imported target "gtest" because another target with the same name already exists. The shipped /usr/src/gtest/CMakeLists.txt has a bug that makes it unuseable -- install TARGETS is now a variable that relies on include(GNUInstallDirs). Bug #895505 is tracking this issue. 2. A compiled library is now included. gumbo-parser and ros-rospack dynamically detect this and attempt to use it without using -pthread. These packages need to either ignore the system lib and use the sources or link with -pthread. I commented subprocess32 out of /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/matplotlib-2.1.1.egg-info/requires.txt and then discovered that backports.functools_lru_cache is also a Python 2 backport. I will propose patches for each. The remaining links lead to a summary page that says things like "build_id_differences_only". Is this truly a build failure? Can you point me to a build log? Bug#862883: Port from libnm-glib/libnm-util to libnm

I found a way to avoid that situation. As networkmanagerstatus.cpp only uses the D-Bus interface, using #include instead of #include was sufficient and it avoids that gio related headers are included, so -DQT_NO_KEYWORDS is not necessary. Lubo, as NM upstream, wdyt about using nm-dbus-interface.h directly instead of the include-all NetworkManager.h? v2 of the patch is attached. Bug#895671: appstream-generator,ftp.debian.org: broken sid/non-free/Components-amd64.yml.xz
2018-04-14 13:25 GMT+02:00 Julien Cristau: > Package: appstream-generator,ftp.debian.org > Severity: grave > > dists/unstable/non-free/dep11/Components-amd64.yml.xz doesn't match > dists/unstable/non-free/dep11/Components-amd64.yml.gz, and the former > also doesn't match the expected hash from InRelease for the uncompressed > file. It appears appstream-generator or mekeel died in some way and fed > bogus data to dak, which failed to detect it. Hmm, there wasn't any crash when the thing was running on its own, but I did run a lot of manual tests with asgen, and at least one of those crashed. So, I think what happened is that that error left files behind, and appstream-generator did not update them because the non-free archive had not changed compared to the previous run. So the incomplete files were synced. I've fixed this issue now, and will think of maybe adding another sanity check for the publish step. This is an issue though that I don't think will happen again - it requires a suite that isn't updated much, as well as a crash at just the right time. In this case, due to manual action. Thanks for noticing! -- I welcome VSRE emails. See http://vsre.info/

The QNtrack headers use the slots keyword, so if I set -DQT_NO_KEYWORDS, solid-networkstatus/kded/ntracknetworkstate.cpp fails to compile. So while I could get the networkmanager backend compile successfully with the attached patch, I had to disable QNtrack support. Would be great to have some feedback from the KDE maintainers on how to proceed, i.e. if we simply disable the NM support (and keep support for QNtrack enabled), or apply the attached patch which uses libnm but drops support QNtrack. This is where your problem is coming from. gir1.2-gst-plugins-base-1.0 in Debian does depend on gir1.2-gstreamer-1.0. Bug#895673: lios: Lios crashing on start
Taking a look in error, I used apt-file to search about gst-1.5.typelib, as described in this page[1], and found it in gir1.2-gstreamer-1.0 package. So, was to install this package and Lios works again. IMHO, isn't a good idea to add this package as dependency of Lios? Bug#891434: grub-efi: System fails to boot after "No space left on device" on EFI variable storage
Package: grub-efi-amd64 Version: 2.02+dfsg1-4 Followup-For: Bug #891434 I just ran into this same issue and it is specific to grub: refind-install also has similar issues, so this is specific to the state of the computer. I found this answer helpful: https://unix.stackexchange.com/a/379824/79267 In particular deleting dump files helped: rm /sys/firmware/efi/efivars/dump-* and then grub-install worked fine. As a fix, perhaps grub could issue a message to look into /sys/firmware/efi/efivars directory, because it was not trivial to find it (all the mounted file systems have plenty of space as reported by `df -h` so the message "No space left on device" is not helpful). -- Package-specific info: *** BEGIN /proc/mounts /dev/sda8 / ext4 rw,noatime,nodiratime,discard,errors=remount-ro,data=ordered 0 0 /dev/sda9 /home ext4 rw,noatime,nodiratime,discard,data=ordered 0 0 /dev/sda2 /boot/efi vfat rw,relatime,fmask=0077,dmask=0077,codepage=437,iocharset=ascii,shortname=mixed,utf8,errors=remount-ro 0 0 *** END /proc/mounts *** BEGIN /boot/grub/grub.cfg # # DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE # # It is automatically generated by grub-mkconfig using templates # from /etc/grub.d and settings from /etc/default/grub # ### BEGIN /etc/grub.d/00_header ### if [ -s $prefix/grubenv ]; then set have_grubenv=true load_env fi if [ "${next_entry}" ] ; then set default="${next_entry}" set next_entry= save_env next_entry set boot_once=true else set default="0" fi if [ x"${feature_menuentry_id}" = xy ]; then menuentry_id_option="--id" else menuentry_id_option="" fi export menuentry_id_option if [ "${prev_saved_entry}" ]; then set saved_entry="${prev_saved_entry}" save_env saved_entry set prev_saved_entry= save_env prev_saved_entry set boot_once=true fi function savedefault { if [ -z "${boot_once}" ]; then saved_entry="${chosen}" save_env saved_entry fi } function load_video { if [ x$feature_all_video_module = xy ]; then insmod all_video else insmod efi_gop insmod efi_uga insmod ieee1275_fb insmod vbe insmod vga insmod video_bochs insmod video_cirrus fi } if [ x$feature_default_font_path = xy ] ; then font=unicode else insmod part_gpt insmod ext2 set root='hd0,gpt8' if [ x$feature_platform_search_hint = xy ]; then search --no-floppy --fs-uuid --set=root --hint-bios=hd0,gpt8 --hint-efi=hd0,gpt8 --hint-baremetal=ahci0,gpt8 b6485691-c9ee-4aad-85ba-4d9a8032e2c7 else search --no-floppy --fs-uuid --set=root b6485691-c9ee-4aad-85ba-4d9a8032e2c7 fi font="/usr/share/grub/unicode.pf2" fi if loadfont $font ; then set gfxmode=800x600 load_video insmod gfxterm set locale_dir=$prefix/locale set lang=en_US insmod gettext fi terminal_output gfxterm if [ "${recordfail}" = 1 ] ; then set timeout=30 else if [ x$feature_timeout_style = xy ] ; then set timeout_style=menu set timeout=5 # Fallback normal timeout code in case the timeout_style feature is # unavailable. else set timeout=5 fi fi ### END /etc/grub.d/00_header ### ### BEGIN /etc/grub.d/05_debian_theme ### insmod part_gpt insmod ext2 set root='hd0,gpt8' if [ x$feature_platform_search_hint = xy ]; then search --no-floppy --fs-uuid --set=root --hint-bios=hd0,gpt8 --hint-efi=hd0,gpt8 --hint-baremetal=ahci0,gpt8 b6485691-c9ee-4aad-85ba-4d9a8032e2c7 else search --no-floppy --fs-uuid --set=root b6485691-c9ee-4aad-85ba-4d9a8032e2c7 fi insmod png if background_image /usr/share/desktop-base/softwaves-theme/grub/grub-16x9.png; then set color_normal=white/black set color_highlight=black/white else set menu_color_normal=cyan/blue set menu_color_highlight=white/blue fi ### END /etc/grub.d/05_debian_theme ### ### BEGIN /etc/grub.d/10_linux ### function gfxmode { set gfxpayload="${1}" } set linux_gfx_mode= export linux_gfx_mode menuentry 'Debian GNU/Linux' --class debian --class gnu-linux --class gnu --class os $menuentry_id_option 'gnulinux-simple-b6485691-c9ee-4aad-85ba-4d9a8032e2c7' { load_video insmod gzio if [ x$grub_platform = xxen ]; then insmod xzio; insmod lzopio; fi insmod part_gpt insmod ext2 set root='hd0,gpt8' if [ x$feature_platform_search_hint = xy ]; then search --no-floppy --fs-uuid --set=root --hint-bios=hd0,gpt8 --hint-efi=hd0,gpt8 --hint-baremetal=ahci0,gpt8 b6485691-c9ee-4aad-85ba-4d9a8032e2c7 else search --no-floppy --fs-uuid --set=root b6485691-c9ee-4aad-85ba-4d9a8032e2c7 fi echo'Loading Linux 4.15.0-2-amd64 ...' linux /boot/vmlinuz-4.15.0-2-amd64 root=UUID=b6485691-c9ee-4aad-85ba-4d9a8032e2c7 ro quiet echo'Loading initial ramdisk ...' initrd /boot/initrd.img-4.15.0-2-amd64 } submenu 'Advanced options for Debian GNU/Linux' $menuentry_id_option 'gnulinux-advanced-b6485691-c9ee-4aad-85ba-4d9a8032e2c7' { menuentry

Hi all, Can somebody look at https://github.com/macports/macports-ports/commit/6942f6afc6321dcbaabb36ffe2de4b67db6efe4b Maybe the maintainer can take a look at it. There are also some further optimizations which has been made to leveldb library, for instance support or requirement for C++11 among others. https://github.com/google/leveldb/commits/master Look forward to see a newish version on unstable/sid soonish. Could help with testing if somebody can share how to test it . It is a dependancy of minetest-server or minetest hence needs to be fixed. Look forward to seeing this fixed. -- Regards, Shirish Agarwal शिरीष अग्रवाल My quotes in this email licensed under CC 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/3.0/ http://flossexperiences.wordpress.com EB80 462B 08E1 A0DE A73A 2C2F 9F3D C7A4 E1C4 D2D8

During a rebuild of all packages using OpenSSL this package fail to build. A log of that build can be found at: https://breakpoint.cc/openssl-1.1-rebuild-2016-05-29/Attempted/sipxtapi_3.3.0~test17-1_amd64-20160529-1537 On https://wiki.openssl.org/index.php/1.1_API_Changes you can see various of the reasons why it might fail. There are also updated man pages at https://www.openssl.org/docs/manmaster/ that should contain useful information. There is a libssl-dev package available in experimental that contains a recent snapshot, I suggest you try building against that to see if everything works.
