Oh. I haven't noticed this bugreport. I've been preparing a refresh of several
qemu-related packages (incl seabios and openbios and this one), already
fixed the non-reproducible build issue locally, but haven't seen the
FTBFS issue. So far it weren't me who dealt with these packages.

Lemme force the new version... Thank you for the reminder!

Bug#895718: python-pyqt5: import PyQt5.QtCore fails

2018-04-14 Thread Scott Kitterman
Package: python-pyqt5
Version: 5.9.2+dfsg-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Tried this on sid with both pyqt5 5.9.2 and 5.10.1:

Unpacking python-pyqt5 (5.10.1+dfsg-1) over (5.9.2+dfsg-1+b1) ...
Setting up python-pyqt5 (5.10.1+dfsg-1) ...
# python

>>> import PyQt5.QtCore

  File "", line 1, in
ImportError: libQt5Core.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or

I checked and libQt5Core.so.5 is installed at the expected location:

# ls -l /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQt5Core.so.5
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 20 Apr 7 19:35
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQt5Core.so.5 -> libQt5Core.so.5.10.1

/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQt5Core.so.5.10.1

The same thing happenson python3 too:

Python 3.6.5 (default, Apr 1 2018, 05:46:30)

Hi,

I just ACCEPTed dlib from NEW but noticed it was missing attribution
in debian/copyright for at least assert.h, numerical_integration.cpp,
fhog.h, and possibly all of dlib-models, I am unsure..

(This is in no way exhaustive so please check over the entire package
carefully and address these on your next upload.)

Bug#895713: FTBFS with googletest 1.8.0-7

2018-04-14 Thread Steve M. Robbins
Source: ros-catkin
Version: 0.7.11-1
Severity: serious
Justification: fails to build from source

Debian's googletest package used to ship only sources, not a compiled
libgtest. The ros-catkin package has a build-dep on libgtest-dev.
However: at build time libgtest is probed for, not found, and C++
tests are not built:

-- gtest not found, C++ tests can not be built. Please install the gtest
headers globally in your system to enable gtests

https://buildd.debian.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=ros-catkin=all=0.7.11-1=1522532229=0

In libgtest-dev 1.8.0-7, a compiled libgtest was added. Now the
ros-catkin fails while attempting to build tests:

-- Found gtest: gtests will be built
CMake Error at cmake/test/gtest.cmake:369 (add_library):
add_library cannot create imported target "gtest" because another target
with the same name already exists.
Call Stack (most recent call first):
  cmake/all.cmake:147 (include)
  CMakeLists.txt:8 (include)

Additionally, the flaw in gtest.cmake appears to be the cause of
ros-rospack build failure tracked in Bug #895708 -- contrary to what
was previously written in that bug -- as the ros-rospack build fails
at the same lines in the installed version of gtest.cmake:

-- Found gtest: gtests will be built
CMake Error at /usr/share/catkin/cmake/test/gtest.cmake:369 (add_library):
add_library cannot create imported target "gtest" because another target
with the same name already exists.
Call Stack (most recent call first):
  /usr/share/catkin/cmake/all.cmake:147 (include)
  /usr/share/catkin/cmake/catkinConfig.cmake:20 (include)
  CMakeLists.txt:4 (find_package)

I suspect that other ROS packages will be similarly affected.

-Steve

Two independent changes to googletest 1.8.0-7 led to the failures:

1. The shipped /usr/src/gtest/CMakeLists.txt has a bug that makes it unuseable
-- install TARGETS is now a variable that relies on include(GNUInstallDirs).
Bug #895505 is tracking this issue.

2. A compiled library is now included. gumbo-parser and ros-rospack
dynamically detect this and attempt to use it without using -pthread. These
packages need to either ignore the system lib and use the sources or link with
-pthread. This is being tracked in the two cloned bugs.

I don't know if this is an issue of the test (adding the dependency
there can fix the issue) or if the dependencies of your package need
updating.

There are rumors that one shouldn't use distutils as a runtime
dependency and one should use sysconfig instead.

Package: python3-matplotlib
Severity: normal

When python3-matplotlib is installed from the debian repository, it shows that
it requires backports.functools-lru-cache and subprocess32.

pip3 show matplotlib
Name: matplotlib
Version: 2.1.1
Summary: Python plotting package
Home-page: http://matplotlib.org
Author: John D. Hunter, Michael Droettboom
Author-email: matplotlib-us...@python.org
License: BSD
Location: /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages
Requires: backports.functools-lru-cache, subprocess32

However, pip3 shows that backports... and subprocess32 is not installed. Which
is a good thing because they are only valid for python2.

# pip3 show subprocess32
# pip3 show backports.functools-lru-cache
#

However, when I use pip3 to install packages that are not in debian and pip3
sees the two requirements, it tries to install them and errors out saying that
subprocess32 is only for python2.

# pip3 install mlxtend
Collecting mlxtend
  Using cached mlxtend-0.11.0-py2.py3-none-any.whl
Requirement already satisfied: numpy>=1.10.4 in /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages

Collecting backports.functools_lru_cache (from matplotlib>=1.5.1->mlxtend)
  Using cached backports.functools_lru_cache-1.5-py2.py3-none-any.whl
Collecting subprocess32 (from matplotlib>=1.5.1->mlxtend)
  Using cached subprocess32-3.2.7.tar.gz
Complete output from command python setup.py egg_info:
This backport is for Python 2.x only.

This can be fixed by uninstalling debian's python3-matplotlib and using pip3 to
install matplotlib which doesn't have the backports... and subprocess32
requirement. Then the other package that depends on matplotlib installs
successfully.

Package: python3-matplotlib
Version: 2.1.1-2
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

Running a python3 script that uses pkg_resources.load_entry_point
cannot run because the dependency subprocess32 is not available.

subprocess32 is a Python 2 backport of a Python 3 module
so is a dependency that can never be satifisfied.

I commented subprocess32 out of
/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/matplotlib-2.1.1.egg-info/requires.txt
and then discovered that backports.functools_lru_cache is also a
Python 2 backport.

It looks like the requirements.txt file to resolve #887964 and
#887965 for Python 2 is being incorrectly installed in the Python 3
package.

Dear maintainer,

Matplotlib is currently unusable on sid:

Python 3.6.5 (default, Mar 30 2018, 02:08:52)
[GCC 7.3.0] on linux

See also #893924.

This makes several packages (which require matplotlib) unusable.

Hi,

thanks for maintaining dehydrated-hook-ddns-tsig in debian.
unfortunately, since dehydrated 0.6 changed the way hooks are handled,
it doesn't work and needs the following patch (tested, works for me):

  https://github.com/eferdman/dehydrated-hook-ddns-tsig/pull/20

It would be nice if you could cherry-pick that into the debian package.

Daniel

Three of the links listed:

https://tests.reproducible-builds.org/debian/rb-pkg/unstable/amd64/gumbo-parser.html
https://tests.reproducible-builds.org/debian/rb-pkg/unstable/amd64/
rapidjson.html
https://tests.reproducible-builds.org/debian/rb-pkg/unstable/amd64/
libqtdbustest.html

lead to build logs that indeed are probably regressions due to the new
googletest. I will propose patches for each.

The remaining links lead to a summary page that says things like
"build_id_differences_only". Is this truly a build failure? Can you point me
to a build log?

Thanks again,
-Steve

Bug#862883: Port from libnm-glib/libnm-util to libnm

I found a way to avoid that situation.
As networkmanagerstatus.cpp only uses the D-Bus interface, using
#include
instead of
#include
was sufficient and it avoids that gio related headers are included, so
-DQT_NO_KEYWORDS is not necessary.

Lubo, as NM upstream, wdyt about using nm-dbus-interface.h directly
instead of the include-all NetworkManager.h?

v2 of the patch is attached.

Michael

Ouch (libqtdbusmock). I presume that I have to patch this for Debian
instead of waiting for upstream to fix this.

Don’t believe the trigger entry on such a date. The test log shows that
“PHPUnit 6.5.5” was used.

Hi,

libnm-glib has been replaced by libnm and libnm-gtk has been replaced by
libnma.

Your package uses the GIR bindings for those libraries:
 qreator/qrcodes/QRCodeWifiGtk.py:from gi.repository import Gtk,
NetworkManager, NMClient, GLib, GdkPixbuf
 qreator/qrcodes/QRCodeWifiGtk.py:nmc = NMClient.Client.new()

and declares a dependency on
 gir1.2-nmgtk-1.0,
 gir1.2-networkmanager-1.0,

Please port qreator to use NM-1.0.typelib and NMA-1.0.typelib
(gir1.2-nma-1.0)

Regards,
Michael

Hmm, there wasn't any crash when the thing was running on its own, but
I did run a lot of manual tests with asgen, and at least one of those
crashed. So, I think what happened is that that error left files
behind, and appstream-generator did not update them because the
non-free archive had not changed compared to the previous run. So the
incomplete files were synced.
I've fixed this issue now, and will think of maybe adding another
sanity check for the publish step. This is an issue though that I
don't think will happen again - it requires a suite that isn't updated
much, as well as a crash at just the right time. In this case, due to
manual action.

Thanks for noticing!

I tried updating solid-networkstartus to use QT_NO_KEYWORDS and the Q_
macros, but ran into a problem. The QNtrack headers use the slots
keyword, so if I set -DQT_NO_KEYWORDS,
solid-networkstatus/kded/ntracknetworkstate.cpp fails to compile.

So while I could get the networkmanager backend compile successfully
with the attached patch, I had to disable QNtrack support.

Would be great to have some feedback from the KDE maintainers on how to
proceed, i.e. if we simply disable the NM support (and keep support for
QNtrack enabled), or apply the attached patch which uses libnm but drops
support QNtrack.

Regards,
Michael

This is where your problem is coming from.

gir1.2-gst-plugins-base-1.0 in Debian does depend on gir1.2-gstreamer-1.0.

Likely due to some bug, gir1.2-gst-plugins-base-1.0 from
deb-multimedia.org does not have any dependencies.

Seems very unfortunate, that gdbusintrospection.h uses that name. Maybe
we could convince glib upstream to rename the variable to make it easier
to use glib/gio from KDE/Qt applications and not having to work around
that invidually.

That said, I'm not really familiar with Qt, so not sure if using
-DQT_NO_KEYWORDS + macros like Q_EMIT are consider a proper solution for
this kind of problem.

KDE maintainers, any suggestions?

Bug#895673: lios: Lios crashing on start

2018-04-14 Thread Claudio Ferreira
Taking a look in error, I used apt-file to search about gst-1.5.typelib, as
described in this page[1], and found it in gir1.2-gstreamer-1.0 package.

So, was to install this package and Lios works again. IMHO, isn't a good
idea to add this package as dependency of Lios?

Thank you by your time.

Bug#895653: corosync: CVE-2018-1084: Integer overflow in exec/totemcrypto.c:authenticate_nss_2_3() function

2018-04-14 Thread Ferenc Wágner
Unfortunately the Alioth list migration delayed this mail long enough to
let me do the security upload without closing this bug in the changelog.
You may want to fill that in during the DSA workflow (if possible).

Bug#895671: appstream-generator,ftp.debian.org: broken sid/non-free/Components-amd64.yml.xz

2018-04-14 Thread Julien Cristau
Package: appstream-generator,ftp.debian.org
Severity: grave

dists/unstable/non-free/dep11/Components-amd64.yml.xz doesn't match
dists/unstable/non-free/dep11/Components-amd64.yml.gz, and the former
also doesn't match the expected hash from InRelease for the uncompressed
file. It appears appstream-generator or mekeel died in some way and fed
bogus data to dak, which failed to detect it.

Bug#891434: grub-efi: System fails to boot after "No space left on device" on EFI variable storage

2018-04-14 Thread Marius Mikucionis
Package: grub-efi-amd64
Version: 2.02+dfsg1-4
Followup-For: Bug #891434

I just ran into this same issue and it is specific to grub:
refind-install also has similar issues, so this is specific to the state of the
computer.

I found this answer helpful:
https://unix.stackexchange.com/a/379824/79267

In particular deleting dump files helped:

rm /sys/firmware/efi/efivars/dump-*

and then grub-install worked fine.

As a fix, perhaps grub could issue a message to look into
/sys/firmware/efi/efivars directory, because it was not trivial to find it (all
the mounted file systems have plenty of space as reported by `df -h` so the
message "No space left on device" is not helpful).

Bug#877773: seems the soname version bump is fixed with the commit

2018-04-14 Thread shirish शिरीष
Hi all,

Can somebody look at
https://github.com/macports/macports-ports/commit/6942f6afc6321dcbaabb36ffe2de4b67db6efe4b

Maybe the maintainer can take a look at it.

There are also some further optimizations which has been made to
leveldb library, for instance support or requirement for C++11 among
others.

https://github.com/google/leveldb/commits/master

Look forward to see a newish version on unstable/sid soonish.

Could help with testing if somebody can share how to test it .

It is a dependancy of minetest-server or minetest hence needs to be fixed.

Look forward to seeing this fixed.

I just had a look at the diff [¹] again. It seems that the libnma-dev
Build-Depends is not actually needed and you can drop it safely.

Michael

The root cause is that on armel/armhf (and arm64 in Ubuntu)
Qt5 is compiled with OpenGL ES instead of OpenGL.

Ideally mldemos should be fixed to build and work with OpenGL ES,
but if this is not easily possible please
- change the build dependency from libqt5opengl5-dev
to libqt5opengl5-desktop-dev (which will stop trying
to build mldemos on armel/aarmhf), and
- file a removal bug for the old armel+armhf binaries
  of mldemos against ftp.debian.org

Hi,

OpenSSL 1.1.0 is about to released. During a rebuild of all packages using
OpenSSL this package fail to build. A log of that build can be found at:
https://breakpoint.cc/openssl-1.1-rebuild-2016-05-29/Attempted/sipxtapi_3.3.0~test17-1_amd64-20160529-1537

On https://wiki.openssl.org/index.php/1.1_API_Changes you can see various of the
reasons why it might fail. There are also updated man pages at
https://www.openssl.org/docs/manmaster/ that should contain useful information.

There is a libssl-dev package available in experimental that contains a recent
snapshot, I suggest you try building against that to see if everything works.

If you have problems making things work, feel free to contact us.

Dear Maintainer,

[ cppunit 0.14 is not in Debian yet, see #861718. Thus normal for now ]

On a rebuild test using ratt I noticed your package doesn't build with
cppunit 0.14:

cppunit 0.14 removed cppunit-config (and thus also /usr/share/aclocal,
which of course then means AM_PATH_CPPUNIT isn't there anymore.)

You should use pkg-config for it now. (that one is available since
long.)

I put my package for testing to

Rene

Bug#895654: libpythonqt-qtall-qt5-python[23]-3: not binNMU safe

2018-04-14 Thread Emilio Pozuelo Monfort
Package: libpythonqt-qtall-qt5-python2-3,libpythonqt-qtall-qt5-python3-3
Version: 3.2-8
Severity: serious
Control: block 893523 with -1

Hi,

Package: libpythonqt-qtall-qt5-python2-3
Source: pythonqt (3.2-8)
Version: 3.2-8+b1
Depends: libpythonqt-qt5-python2-3 (= 3.2-8), [...]

Package: libpythonqt-qt5-python2-3
Source: pythonqt (3.2-8)
Version: 3.2-8+b1

That dependency can't be satisfied. libpythonqt-qtall-qt5-python2-3 should
depend
on libpythonqt-qt5-python2-3 (= ${binary:Version}), and not
on libpythonqt-qt5-python2-3 (= ${source:Version})

Same thing for libpythonqt-qtall-qt5-python3-3 with libpythonqt-qt5-python3-3.

Cheers,
Emilio
