The test case from the link in the original report does indeed cause a
segmentation fault for me.
I looked over the patch which was linked, and it looks good. However,
when I applied it, the compile failed one of its tests. This may not be
related to the patch, though.

The only thing which broke was openldap due some really deep internal
library symbols, which are not used anywhere else, and it's already
fixed, so I don't think this deserves transition.

Dear maintainer,
I've prepared an NMU for ampache (versioned as 3.6-git408e713+dfsg-3.1) and
uploaded it to DELAYED/7. Please feel free to tell me if I
should delay it
