After further investigation, the 2 bugs you reported are indeed fixed, but in
master only ([1], [2])
I've open a bug in MORSE [3] to quickly do a new upstream release so that the
package can be adequately updated in Debian.

Hi,
This patch should fix the problem, moving the non-volatile state for the
samhain package to /var/lib/samhain.
Please, tell me if I need to fix something to make this acceptable.
