I've lokoed into ifconfig (briefly) and basically the first address
returned is decided by the kernel. Ideally ifconfig should list all
addresses but it stops on the first one.
So that's two bugs:
- kernel returning link-local addresses first
- ifconfig only displaying

see no reason to reassign the bugs to the appropriate package. By all

As an FYI - I ran into the exact same problem you did.
I deleted extensions.rdf and the extensions.cache and extensions
directory within ~/.mozilla-thunderbird/ and I was able to
successfully install lightening. (extensions.rdf is re-created).
